Pictures of Veere.

Pictures of Veere were made on two occasions at 2004 October.
Veere is a small, very picturesque old town located on Walcheren isle wich is part of the province of Zeeland.
It was founded in the 13th centrury and has a nice port giving acces to the lake of Veere.
This lake was created by placement of the Veersegatdam (Dam of Veere) in 1961 as part of the deltaworks.
So originally the town had a sea port and was inhabited by fishermen, tradesmen and craftsmen.
Nowadays the town is very touristic but it's old appearance has been well preserved so it's really worth a visit.
I had some nice light circumstances to take pictures of the port so I am quite satisfied about them.....
Enjoy pictures of Veere, Zeeland.
